Art of Snacking

Such a lovely afternoon. A sunlit arrangement of wine, crackers, cheese, and tangerines — the simple pleasures. Dappled light animates every surface, from the decorative glass plate to the fresh cut irises loose and abstracted in the vase behind. This painting is filled with interesting details and reflections. I'll tell you a secret. Originally, I had painted it with a much cheaper bottle of wine, something that I would actually drink along with a snack, but I ended up liking the painting so much that I swapped it out for a more expensive bottle to elevate the scene. Do you have a favorite snack or meal?
