Honored Vessels Too

Glass jars, wicker-wrapped bottles, and ceramic stoppers sprawl across smooth river pebbles. Like Honored Vessels, this painting carries the same meaning in a different composition. Here, I rearranged the vessels in dappled sunlight imagining friends and family hanging out in shade by the water. These vessels have been collected over the years and often reside together as a centerpiece on my dining table along with seashells, candles, and glass gems scattered about. I observed and painted how the glass transforms in the shade compared to the bright sunlight of the other painting.
