Family Vacation

It could be any family at the beach. A gnarled grandpa muttering words of wisdom if you'll just get close enough to listen. Parents trying to corral the kids and grandkids long enough to get some food in them. One quiet child sits in the shadow of his dad, staring at the same view, wondering what his dad is thinking. A baby is crawling around experiencing sand for the first time. Tastes salty. Instead of painting people who may or may not look like you, I hope you can see yourself in these vessels and shells and remember a lovely day together.
