Sea Glass

Here's a little jewel. In the same vein as Honored Vessels, these shapes represent a family playing in the shallow water at the ocean's edge. As new parents, I remember the first time we took our child to the beach. Of course, he did everything babies do when exploring their world, ate some sand and made a horrified face after tasting the salt water. Haha. Good times… We have so many memories like that from raising our boys. Rites of passage.

This was photographed in the panhandle of Florida, home to some of the most beautiful, white beaches in the world. Painted more impressionistically, this small 7×7 inch original is packed with meaning and color. I hope this painting reminds you of the first time you took your precious child to the beach.
